I can take a pretty educated guess but sometimes I wish I had a better insight into how your system is configured and how you are using iPOS. Turns out I’m not the only one. You want to know how other businesses are using iPOS too.
One way we are facilitating this is to run iPOS user days in two countries. There is also a LinkedIn group. This gives you an opportunity to talk to other users all over the world. It gives you a forum to talk to each other about how you can, and do, use the system.
So, what did you talk to us and each other about this year? If you were in the UK you told us that you have a problem with getting people to submit their goods receipts. We replied. You will see the reply in the next service pack release. Last year, if you were in Australia, you told us that your users are confused about the duplicated invoice number checking. The response? Now you can tell the users that they can’t continue.
What about that conversation we had a while back? You know the one, you wanted a quick easy way to create large requisitions with minor differences in each line. We both agreed that sometimes it isn’t optimal to do this in the browser so iPOS XL for requisitions was created. You said that you like a simple spreadsheet layout as you can build some intelligence into the order that fields appear. Delivering this by a formula -based approach would mean that this is familiar to most users and the design with iPOS means you are dealing with trusted controls and validations already in place. It’s here, it’s ready and waiting for you, the latest service pack has just been released.
You liked this. I was physically there; I saw all the heads out in the audience nodding. You took the leap, you engaged, you saw the potential. You pulled up a chair and sat down and told me a story about how you would use iPOS XL for invoices. You saw others in the audience do the same so you know what other businesses want as well.
When I put my kids to bed they demand bedtime stories. Not only do I love the one on one time but I also know that it helps boost their brain development. Guess what, we need stories too. Stories also help us develop, though in a slightly different way. So, help us develop, have you got a good story to tell us about how you’re going to use iPOS XL for invoices? If so, we would love to hear it.
