Did you know that PA Streams can streamline your business processes and provide you with real-time data that resides in different systems in your organisation!
PA Streams is a modern low to no code integration platform that can handle complex integrations across various systems. It endorses the “drag and drop” concept to manage your integration routine and data stream rather than needing to custom build integration that involves heavy coding.
PA Streams empowers business users to create and deploy event-driven apps for real-time event intelligence without disturbing operations.
As described in the diagram, PA Streams can pull data from any of the mentioned file formats, SQL database, or any source application that has a webservice or API.
Professional Advantage (PA) has a library of connectors and agents that can be plugged into PA Streams without extra development, and we are continuously expanding our connectors and agent library to work with the majority of systems.
PA Streams uses these connectors to recognise the required formats from the source system and the destination system. Once the source, destination format, and data structure have been identified, PA streams will transform the sourced data using its transformation connectors, agents, and format designer, converting it to a new data structure compatible with the destination system(s).
PA Streams validates the data against the destination system(s) and notifies any users of any errors that occur so actions can be taken.
On successful validation, PA Streams pushes the data to destination system(s) and admin users are notified by email.
On failure, admin users are notified and will have the option to correct errors from within PA Streams or re-source the correct data from source system(s)/file(s).
Admin users will have access to the audit trail to review historical logs for the ongoing integration process.
Below are some examples of complex integration with various systems. PA Streams triggers different actions/alerts based on certain readings to catch inflight exception events when they occur to allow system users to see the insights of their operation and confidently take the right decision.
Infor SunSystems and iPOS integration example:
Asset management integration (IBM Maximo) example:
An admin user with basic knowledge of IT would be able to manage PA Streams for ongoing operation.
Client success story:
Our client is using Infor SunSystems to account for 35+ entities that reside in SunSystems in different Business units. A Cloud based procurement system, on the other hand, is being used as a centralised procurement system that serves all the business units. The following diagram describes the integration process between both systems and how the data flows from one system to another system without any user intervention.
As described in the diagram:
- Users create all master data in one system (SunSystems).
- PA Streams pulls the data out of SunSystems (new vendor codes / modified vendor details, analysis codes, etc) at scheduled time intervals and sends them to Procurement system.
- The procurement system will maintain an up to date vendor master file.
- Users create new purchase invoices in the procurement system using the newly created vendor codes or one if the existing vendor codes.
- PA Streams pulls the newly created purchase invoices from the cloud system every 15 minutes, then splits the purchase invoices into multiple files to keep each purchase invoice in a separate file.
- PA Streams imports the purchase invoice files into SunSystems after transforming and restructuring invoice files to suite SunSystems. On importing the files, each invoice will have a separate journal number in SunSystems.
- Users will pay purchase invoices according to their due dates/payment policy in SunSystems.
- PA Streams keeps monitoring those invoices and once any of them get paid, it picks up the journal number of the payment, the payment reference, and the payment date.
- PA Streams sends these flags (payment journal number, payment reference, and payment date) back to the procurement system, updates the purchase invoices with these flags, and marks them as “Closed”.
In conclusion, PA Streams is a flexible and low to no code integration platform that can handle sophisticated integration processes. It has error handling and messaging functionality that allows users to make the right decisions, and is capable of connecting multiple different systems (on-premises or Cloud) to ensure all systems are up to date.
